I just wanted to say a big thank you to Simon Younan!!
Not only did I get my license, I passed first time. When it comes to important tests, I freak out heaps, but Simon talked me through what would happen and calmed my nerves!
I would happily recommend him to all my friends and family that have not yet learnt to drive. He is just generally an all round friendly person, that makes your time learning enjoyable with his humerous jokes and great personality. Thanks for not only teaching me how to drive but how to be aware of 'your bike friends' and my speeding!!

Having left getting a licence into my late 20's I had grown increasingly weary of taking the lessons required to gain my P's. However I had moved towards a career in the film industry and needed my own transportation.
Enter 'Strive2Drive' and the man himself, Sandro.
Sandro, with seemingly limitless patience and the light touch employed by only the most experienced instructors, guided my short and violent attempts at driving into a smooth and comfortable ride. Having never driven anything larger than a push bike, Sandro successfully taught me the fine arts of the manual transmission, resulting in a dramatic change in my confidence when driving down a narrow back street or down the middle lane of a free way, my new P license sitting comfortably in my wallet.
Sandro's diligence, punctuality, precision, flexibility, understanding, level-headedness, coherence when teaching new skills and all-round expertise have proven him to me to be most excellent at his job.

1.5 months ago, I took road test in Warragul with my instructor George Lee. He was amazing as he prepared me throughout the test from the time we started our journey near my house. His words of encouragement, telling me what were the right and wrong things to do have helped to ease my nerves. Normally when you get an instructor, especially those of RACV, he just tells you how to drive but Strive2drive instructor like George Lee did more than that. The psychological preparation was a crucial part in getting me through as Warragul was not a place familiar to me. I was glad to get George Lee as he told me that 'new' routes were not that daunting if we observed more and listen to instruction attentively throughout the test. Thanks George Lee and thanks for your guidance and friendship.

Hello Paul. Thank you for everything you did to help me pass the test and become such a confident driver. I've been driving a handful of time since the test out on my own and I'm getting more confident everytime. After many years of never needing a license due to easy accessibility to transport, it seemed like by the age of 23 I should get it anyway. I knew very basic skills of how to drive but after looking up strive2drive online and taking lessons with my instructor Paul, my confidence grew in leaps and bounds. Paul taught me reverse parking, how to swiftly change lanes, how to drive on roads with trams as well as how to use my mirrors and do head-checks. There are so many little things that are vital in developing your driving skill set that family members are unable to impart. As a result of the training I undertook after a few months of lessons I was able to pass my test in December first try! I would recommend strive2drive to anyone who desires a friendly atmosphere with instructors who are devoted to teaching students to become safe and efficient drivers. Thanks again Paul!!

I just wanted to say thank you to Phil Kumar, after a horrific motorbike accident I was very wary of even being on the road yet alone driving at all. He was calm and collected and coached me without stress so that I felt comfortable and safe. He was always on time and was patient and caring and aware of my hesitation. Not only did I get my license I passed first time and felt at ease driving solo after his wonderful instruction. I would happily recommend him to all my friends and family that have not yet learnt to drive and think he is just generally an all round good dude. Thanks to Theresa for all her help from the first phone call and discussion re. my nephews needs, to making it easy to get vouchers for him as a gift from his nan. She was incredibly helpful above and beyond, and Dylan was thrilled with his xmas gift from his nanna. I rang several driving schools before coming across strive2drive, some were dismissive and abrupt (qualities i do not appreciate when someone is trying to get my or my mothers business), others just didn't seem interested enough to provide answers to my questions. My theory being if I cannot understand the person on the phone, what hope does the learner have. Theresa's manner was friendly, she took time out to listen and answer every question I had as well as being more than accommodating when it came to picking up and paying for the vouchers.
Dylan had his first lesson today with Joe, and he (Dylan) seems really pleased with how the lesson went. Dylan said Joe's instructions were clear, that he was friendly and Dylan felt he learnt "HEAPS". He has booked in again with Joe and now I know what I will be getting him for his 18th in March.
I would not hesitate to recommend strive2drive to any parent or person looking for a professionally structured, friendly and accommodating driving school.

I just thought I would write and pass on my thanks to Strive2Drive and in particular, Simon Younan. I was awarded my drivers license last Friday thanks to Simon's training. My first impression of Simon was that he was able to give instructions that I could understand instantly and explained rules and techniques (eg. reverse parallel parking) in a manner that could be easily remembered. He had an extremely good knowledge of my test area and knew exactly what the testers would be looking for. His friendly personality and sense of humour helped me to calmly approach the testing process. I would recommend Simon and Strive2drive to any friend.

My name is Lynn, and I am the student of George Lee. I have just passed my driving test on this Thursday (5th, Jan.). Until now, I still even don't believe it is true! Before the test, I have practiced the driving with my husband over 1 year; however, I still had no confidence to pass the test because I was very timid and no sense of direction.

Just about 20 days before the test, I heard a government funded program -- "Skill2drive" (get one free lesson) and contacted with George Lee (by name, I thought he might can also speak Chinese). To my surprise, George is very professional and patient and I can really benefit from his lesson; so I decided to take another 5 lessons from him. I think the most important thing he has taught me is how to drive safely whatever during the test or daily driving. Every time, George always gave me some extra time to summarize my performance and where may need to improve. I feel I suddenly see the light.

In the driving test day, George got our designated area very early and picked me up for a driving. Luckily, some of the routes we have practiced that day were exactly my test ones! I also appreciated that he has prepared the car in a good condition for my test. He waited for me until I finished the test and got my license, and then drove me back to the station.

It is hard to write down all I want to say here, but I just want to share a little bit of my story that may give the others some inspiration. I know a lot of people are learning driving and it is hard to pass it, especially just by once, so how it is important to find a good instructor! Here I want to say "thanks" to George and have no hesitation to recommend him to my friends who are learning driving!

Also give some other tips for all the driving learners: practice as much as you can before the test; get one free lesson (mentioned above) from the accredited instructor and complete the CD of "Smart Driving" to win the competition (I have won the prize of $200 voucher by that).

When I drive the car to work on the second day after I get my license, I feel driving is such a wonderful thing. I feel so confident on the road with safe driving skills!

I just wanted to drop you a line to let you know how impressed we were with the service provided by Gary Martyr to our son Ethan Story. Ethan successfully passed his licence test on Friday and did not lose any points at all. This is testimony to the kind and patient teaching that he received from Gary who was always kind, patient and punctual. He was always willing to have a chat and to fill me in on my son's progress. Prior to my arrival, I made bookings with Vicroads, shopped online for a driving school and by a stroke of luck, found Strive2Drive. On the admin side, Teresa was friendly yet professional and prompt in answering my emails and arranging lessons for me. My instructor George was a great teacher who's diligent, kind, punctual, organized, patient and the best part is his ability to impart his knowledge and experience to me in a very relaxing manner. I would certainly recommend him to anyone, beginners or those who are converting their licenses, especially fellow Malaysians because of his in-depth understanding of our driving environment and habits. His invaluable guidance and encouragement has enabled me to pass my driving test on the 1st try, all within a short 2 weeks from the day I sat for my L permit test. Am writting this mail regarding Phil (my driving instructor) ! I was very grateful to have Phil as my instuctor. He guided me through every way he could and made me so perfect that all my nervousness flew away!! He taught me everything very patiently, calmly and with a very easy going attitude. I have learned to enjoy driving whereas previously I used to be scared and nervous while driving !! I remeber Phil repeating things heaps just because I keep forgetting and still he was so patient and calm. He taught everything coz I never knew what demister, headcheck or rear check was. I just wanted to thank you, and especially my instructor Daniel, for some fantastic driving education that saw me pass my test today, first time around. As an "older" learner, I found Daniel's guidance and instruction to be most valuable as he systematically taught me how to drive, and how to be a good driver, from the ground up. The skills and knowledge I acquired during our lessons ensured that I passed today with just the one "Area for Improvement" (a silly mistake with an indicator, but I wont bother you with the details!). Daniel's patience, eye for detail and encouragement were second to none. He taught me how to drive, not just how to pass the test.

I am now 26 and growing in driving confidence. Since I was 18 I have gone for my license twice and I was a too much of nervous wreck to go again and up until now I had 4 driving instructors spent a lot of money on lessons but had gotten nowhere and decided to give it one last go and I'm glad I did thanks my driving instructor Zoran J I was able to overcome my nerves and get my license. I can explain how grateful I am and how much this has changed my life and given me the kind of freedom I have never had.

Where do I begin to say how amazing learning to drive with strive to drive was. At first when I got my Learners I never wanted to drive but as soon as I had my first lesson with Fraser the AMAZER, I knew he would be able to teach me to be an amazing driver. So really I would like to thank Fraser so much , Fraser it was so much fun and I always laughed when I got in the car, even if I would leave the house or even work in a bad mood and get in the car and I would be laughing with tears as soon as I got in the car. You always made the drives fun and they were never the same, you always asked me how I felt after our drive. I liked how you were honest and never lied. Fraser helped me a lot as I know when I first started I couldn't even go around a round -a-bout with out hitting it, I couldn't really do anything but Fraser fixed it.
When I went for my P's I was so nervous, Fraser was there to calm me down and I got them first go I was so happy. Fraser you have been amazing and funny and you're a great guy and I would recommend you to ALL my friends and family as you are a great teacher. So thank you strive to drive for this an amazing time and teaching me to drive. Now I am out there alone driving and I know I'll be fine because of you :D

I would like to take this opportunity to provide you with feedback on my experience as a new driver in Melbourne, Australia recently immigrated from South Africa. Even though one can have the attitude that redoing your driver's license because you come from Africa is just a waste of good time and money, I have to say that I actually appreciated the experience as it gave me a quick introduction into the differences in terminology and rules of the road, to South Africa. I have had my South African license for the last 22 years and most probably the most difficult part of this process was to let go of bad driving habits but it has given me renewed confidence of safe driving in a new country. I could however not have done this without the assitance, persistence and patience of George Lee, my driving instructor from Strive2Drive Driving School. George, I value your support, enthusiasm and knowledge more than you can imagine - thank you for being there during this part of change and integration in my new life in Australia.

I had the fortune of receiving assistance from two great Strive to Drive instructors, Fraser the Clown and Paul the Calm. My initial intention was to have an instructor who would help me pass my test as I already had a few hours under my belt. But what they helped me discover was that it was not so much my skills that needed attention it was my confidence. Just wanted to say thankyou for my instructor Raylene. I've had the biggest fear of driving for the past 9years and gone through almost 6 instructors before coming to Strive to Drive. From the first lesson Raylene made me feel so comfortable and has really taught me not only the skills I need to drive under a host of different circumstances but to believe in myself.

Just want to say a big thanks to George Lee. I came to Melbourne, Australia six months ago from Vietnam. I have never been behind the wheel in my life so I could only rely on public transportation for traveling around here. With my wife and my daughter coming over here soon, I have vowed to myself that I had to get the P2 license as quick as possible. George has helped to achieve that. I would like to give my gratitude to my driving instructor Sandro who taught me to drive manual and pass my test in Victoria yesterday. I normally drove automatic at home, but I had lessons on a manual and thanks to Sandro I was able to pass my manual test first time round. Despite the number of times I put us in dangerous situations, Sandro always remained calm (unlike my parents) and told me what I did wrong and how I could do better next time. Thanks to him I feel I am a more confident and safer driver than I would otherwise have been, and with better knowledge of the rules or the road and how to deal with various situations. I have recommended and will continue to recommend strive2drive for anyone who needs to learn to drive, as these lessons teach you not just how to drive, but how to drive safely and well. Big thanks to Paul from Strive2Drive for helping me get my license. I just a want to say a great service and instructor that Strive2Drive has. I wasn't very confident in driving and didn't know the rules. My instructor Paul, was very helpful and understanding with that. He helped me build up confidence and understand the road laws that needed to be obeyed. He helped me explain how things work and was very supportive when there were times; I just panicked or felt nervous with my driving skills. I always felt relaxed when he was teaching and he has helped me improve my driving skills with each lesson. My experiences with Strive2Drive was fantastic. Simon Younan, my instructor is very friendly, supportive, informative and helpful at all times. I had always been really scared of driving a car, but after having a few lessons with Simon I had no troubles at all. I remember my first lesson when I was so terrified to drive the car and I was driving at 20km/h. He was extremely patient and provided me with the encouragement and the confidence I needed to start driving. He also let me pick things at my own pace. I thank him greatly for all his guidance and support. I am so happy that I passed my driving test today!

I just wanted to send a big thank-you to Julie for my recent driving lessons.
I have had my licence for over 10 years but never learnt to drive a manual transmission. I have just moved back to Australia from the UK and while I was in London I had numerous manual lessons, which unfortunately didn't get me any closer to my goal. I was frustrated and confused as to why I was so useless at driving manual - and eventually gave up. It was only the other month that I thought I would give it another shot.
AND NOW I CAN DRIVE MANUAL TRANSMISSION!!!!!
It is all thanks to Julie who was patient, friendly, calm and encouraging. In only 2 one hour classes with Julie I felt confident and happy being in a manual car. She was very good at pinpointing what I had trouble with, and was extremely patient when we had to repeat things she taught me over and over again! She was also very encouraging with moving on further - quickly building my self-confidence and showing me that there was actually no reason I hadn't learnt in London except for my rubbish teacher there! I can't believe I learnt so quickly with Julie when I easily had triple the number of lessons in London.
There was no pressure to continue lessons and I am more than satisfied that Julie helped me reach my goal in the shortest amount of lessons possible. Her teaching methods are efficient and effective, friendly and encouraging.
I have since recommended the school to everyone I know learning to drive and will continue to do so.

My previous instructor did not empower me with the ability to 'know what I am doing' nearly as much as Phil has and Phil is noticeably a cut above other instructors. George was a fantastic instructor to me. lthough I had completed nearly all of my 120 hours completed and thought I was capable of taking the test I'm glad that before I did so I went to him because he really helped me fix up the many errors that I was actually making all the time. He showed me the many problems that I needed to be aware of and these are the little things that helped me pass with flying colours! Phil Kumar is an excellent driving instructor and has a great amount of experience. Many previous students from school recommended Phil, his teaching methods are very effective and easy to understand and he fully prepares you for the final test. He has many helpful tips on how to improve your driving skills and it is thanks to him that i received my license in the first attempt. I am now an improved and confident driver. He has a 100% pass record from all of his students that attend my school and i appreciate all of the help he has given me. I strongly recommend Phil Kumar as a driving instructor.

Fraser took the time and patience to analyse and understand where my skills and weaknesses were so that i could develop skilled and consistent safe driving. Fraser has a unique way of building driving confidence that has helped me to drive in many different circumstances and be 100% prepared for the unexpected nature of driving on any road; busy or otherwise. In-fact, I have really valued his great sense of humour and communication skills. He goes to the extra effort to make sure his students are ready for their test and always stays in-touch such as assisting me by re-arranging (on my request) our pickup locations, for example: from Mooroolbark station, or at the Vicroads service centre.
I would like also to say a very big thank you to Theresa for providing wonderful customer service and for organising the Strive2Drive package option at short notice. Theresa arranged my practice dates around my busy schedule and was able to give me great advice for organising my practise.
I knew I had made the right choice choosing to practise with Strive2Drive because Theresa helped explain and organise everything and happily answered my questions so i knew what to expect.

I am pleased to inform you that I passed my license test, thanks to George Lee of Strive2Drive who has been very patient and diligent in providing the information that I need not only to pass, but to be a safe driver. I have an overseas license and very comfortable with my driving skills, however since I needed better familiarity with Australian road rules, I decided to engage a driving instructor. Booking with Strive2Drive was easy and convenient, and the sessions were a good introduction to the potential test roads for the actual driving exam. My recent experiences with strive2drive resulted in a successful pass on my probationary license test! My driving instructor, George, had played a major part in my achievement. Commencing my driving lessons with already a lot of experience on the road, i had thought that i was ready to pass the test and did not need much help, however George had taught me many habits and road rules that i was unaware of. Without his guidance there would have been very little chance of me passing my test! As a young adult at age 22, I had never driven a car in my life and was quite scared of the thought of getting behind the wheel. However, after my first lesson with George, this fear totally vanished. For the next few months, I took weekly lessons with George and gradually become more and more confident with my driving and properly understood the rules of the road. George has not only helped me greatly to pass the license test on my first go at it, but beyond that he has helped me to become a safe, confident and capable driver. I walked away from each lesson with better understanding of ways to be safe on the road through practical experience and many of George's tips have become incredibly important in my driving! Having previously passed my Ps test, Phil Kumar was a number one choice for me, the fact that his son was also one of my friends just was a benefit. Many have gone to Phil Kumar for driving lessons and came back with fantastic results. Within the first lesson, Phil helped me with my weaknesses that were brought to the surface straight away, that being my parking and checking mirrors, he reminded me all the time and basically fixed me up within three days straight. I did learn a lot from Phil and I thank him for helping me pass my Ps test.

I can't believe I gained the courage to actually book my test, and passed it! I'd like to give a big shout out to my instructor George Lee, who helped me pass my driving test first go last week in Dandenong! I used to panic behind the wheel but after a few lessons and with your help, not only did i overcome my fear, but also became a confident and safe driver! I'm glad i found this driving school online. I was driving in Australia using my overseas driving license nearly three years. However, there were few problems in my driving. I had a good experience with my strive2drive's instructor, George. He's always punctual, very helpful in explaining the road rules, and answering my questions in detail. Everyone says passing the drive test is easy but not for me. Those lane changes, head checks, lateral positioning, maintaining the speed and watch for pedestrians, give way rules, school zones, median turning bays... just too many challenges! On top my nervousness. Attending driving tests became like taking driving classes for me and that's the situation I came to strive2drive school after failing couple of times in the tests. They offered me the God sent George Lee for my rescue! I tell you he is the best instructor anyone can ask for. He is so down to earth, smiling, fun, to the point, addresses your problems. Precisely, observant and kind hearted. Being from a software background, George took in his hands as a project for making me deserve the license. He not only worked on improving my driving skills by raising the bar, he in parallel worked on overcoming my nerves to face the test! Looking 50 meters ahead, meditation, good rest and food the night before, giving yourself motivation after clearing stage 1 and many more tips to keep the cool during the test. George makes you really confident by preparing you to enjoy the drive test with his combination of techniques and sharing his experiences and explaining things with analogy so it stays in your mind forever. I almost gave up and only with the help of George I got the license in my hands yesterday and I'm doing a test drive with Mazda 3 today !! Thank you so much george for teaching me some real driving in various circumstances. :)- and keep up the great spirit!

I would like to say thank you and express my gratitude to my instructor, Fraser who was patient and taught me well so that I could get my driving license at the first shot. I was involved in a car crash even before I got a chance to be a driver and since then I thought that I would never be mentally prepared to learn how to drive. I still remember that after a few lessons on the back streets, I told Fraser that I do not want to drive on main roads. However, he helped me to build my confidence by gradually challenging me and before I even realized it, I was smoothly cruising on main roads. Fraser not only taught me to be a good driver but a safe one also. He always emphasized on how important it is to build up on the driving skills and also be cautious of my surroundings.

The preparation for the test made the test easy by making sure you knew exactly what was going to be asked of you, which reduced stress on the day. GEORGE GEORGE GEORGE is the man ! I couldnt thank him enough . I passed my test yesterday and i am sure it would not have been possible without the Superman ( GEORGE) . I have been driving for 4 years with an overseas license but never realised what really goes into a drive test. Because of busy schedue and of course being lazy (:D) never botherded to book lessons and I had 2 hours crash course before the test and i came out with flying colours. George was very professional , patient and exactly knew what is expected out of you during the test. He also made me very comfortable and constantly advised me to maintain composure and concentration . I was amazed how he had encouraged me and built confidence in me inspite of having just 2 lessons before the test and the sweetest part was the relief i could feel in him when the instructor informed me i had passed the test. He was more excited than i was .. He is truly a man with great skills and more importantly a good heart :)
P.S I loved the way he constantly said " During the test ..always look ahead and scan upto 50 meters LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT LEFT RIGHT " ha ha ha

I just passed my test this morning and wanted to pass on my sincere thanks to my driving instructor, Simon, for all his help. I had a super experience with a very efficient company from start to finish and Simon was no exception. I found him to be very professional and accommodating, particularly at test time when he went above and beyond to ensure I felt as comfortable as possible with the testing system. His infinite patience and constant reassurance gave me the confidence I needed to feel safe and to pass, in spite of my nerves. Now I just have to master driving solo...

I would like to thank Fraser, he has been an outstanding driving instructor. His patience and combined with his friendly nature made it extremely comfortable for me to learn how to drive with him. I felt far more comfortable driving with him than I did with my parents, and also learned much more from him. Thanks to Fraser's excellent instructing skills, I was not surprised by anything I faced on the driving test, I truly believe that, had it not been for Fraser, I would never have been able to pass on my first go. Fraser is easily able to identify the major flaws in people's driving skill, and is able to quickly react and focus on fixing the issue, even the deep seeded ones like my excessive speeding. You cant go wrong, he's a pleasure to deal with and the most competent instructor i've ever had. I would highly recommend Fraser to anyone, and will be doing so to family and friends.

Just wanted to pass on my thanks and gratitude to Ravi...
Im a 31 year who always thought that I would never get my licence... I have in the past attempted driving lessons with other companies that have completely been overshadowed by not only the professional style and dedication of Ravi's lessons but the fact that Ravi actually taught me how to drive, rather than just teaching me how to pass my driving test!

Fraser was a great driving instructor and the fact that both my husband and I got our driving licence at the first attempt speaks volumes about Fraser's ability to instill confidence in his clients.
Apart from making one feel capable of taking on this challenge( I was driving on the 'other' side of the road prior to coming to Melbourne), he also taught me all the ways to be safe and feel safe on the road. He was always on the alert and helped me see all the ways in which I c'd become overconfident or unaware in some situations. This really helped me focus on the indiscretions committed by car drivers and take note to drive right.
Fraser has a warm friendly disposition and one feels immediately at ease with him. He is always enthusiastic no matter what kind of client or day he has had earlier on. When he comes to your doorstep he gives his 100 % to the job at hand and this is a great quality!
I'm sure that a whole lot of people out there who are either nervous or not feeling that confident about their driving skills will benefit hugely with Fraser as their coach.

As you may remember I took a couple lessons from George Lee just before the test and he was trying to teach me everything I know. He transformed me from a road killer to a safety driver. I didn't really pass my first test because I accidentally put my high beam on and I didn't notice. But I passed my second test and I will say George is the person who made the biggest contribution to this. I would like to thank your team, especially Sandro, for helping me pass my driving test. After having first failed my driving test I decided to look around and maybe hire an instructor to help me have a better chance at passing the second time. I had my second test booked for only 1 month away, so I had to improve my driving skills fast. I looked around at a few driving companies and then came across strive to drive. I found that they had very competitive prices and great packages, as well as covering many suburbs in Melbourne. So I decided to email them to book lessons. I got a very quick reply telling me my instructor would contact me soon to arrange lessons.

My instructor called soon and we arranged a time which suited me. I was nervous for my first lesson but once I meet the instructor, Sandro, I quickly calmed down. His great sense of humor and years of experience combined made our lessons very fun yet educational. He helped me to learn things about driving I never knew and helped me to develop my driving ability to an outstanding level.

The day of my test came and we did a lesson right before the test to calm my nerves. With all the knowledge Sandro had given me I was confident that I would do well. I passed the test. But I passed with results I never thought I would get. The Vic Roads tester could not fault me at all on anything and said nothing needed improvement. In just 1 month, Sandro was able to build my driving skills to an amazing level. Even after the test, on the drive home, Sandro continued to teach me the right and safe ways to drive. I now have my license thanks to the Strive to Drive team! I can't thank them enough, especially Sandro, for helping me pass the test! Their experienced and knowledgeable drivers and great competitive prices makes them stand out from all other driving companies. I will continue to recommend them to everyone I know!

It was a long journey and although at times I never thought I would have that little shinny plastic license in my hand, you always encouraged me and made learning to drive fun. Thanks for making my lessons fun and making me laugh, especially at my 'grandma driving', counting my 'critical errors' and also helping me to not completely freak out when I got in the car or went above 60kms/hr! I have been doing some driving in a friend's car while I look to buy my own car, the dream is a fiat but unfortunately my bank balance won't allow it! I recently completed my driving lessons with your instructor Paul and was extremely impressed with the professionalism and driving knowledge he has provided to me during the course of my lessons. Naturally, I was inclined to spread the word to friends and family about the great work your team do and have written a few words to express my sentiments. I have had my Learner's Permit for over ten years and have never had the inclination or confidence to go for my Probationary Licence. After the embarrassment of having to renew my Learner's permit, I decided that if I did not go for my P's this year; I never would!! I had heard of so many horror stories from friends about driving instructors who had acted unprofessionally during lessons and who in turn, had failed to teach them the skills they needed to drive in everyday situations. As a result of this, I did extensive research into the various driving schools in Melbourne and found that Strive to Drive was not only reasonably priced but also had a reputation for teaching their students to be safe drivers. After my first lesson with Paul I was able to verify such claims for myself.
Being an anxious person, Paul's easy-going style allowed me to gain the confidence I desperately required in my driving ability. Over the ten years on my Learners, I had acquired an array of bad driving habits all of which I have now abandoned, which is a credit to Paul's instruction and extremely patient nature!! Moreover, in studying and working full-time, it was such a struggle to find the time for driving lessons but Paul was extremely flexible and was always willing to work around my busy schedule, to which I am extremely indebted to him.
From my first lesson, Paul had already built a rapport with me and the lesson weren't seen as a burden but rather became really enjoyable, which is solely a result of Paul's wonderful personality!! Paul was not only an excellent teacher but has become a great friend!! After two and a half months of weekly lessons with Paul, I successfully obtained my Probationary License (in my first attempt)!! I know without Paul's guidance this would not have been possible. I am extremely grateful for all his assistance and even now, when I am driving solo I still draw on the things he has taught me!!
Gaining my license has enabled me to have a greater sense of independence and my only regret is that I didn't find the courage to get my license sooner. After making ten years worth of excuses for not taking driving lessons, I would certainly encourage those in a similar situation to overcome their doubts and just book a lesson with Strive to Drive-you will not regret it. However, Paul's popularity is a testament to how talented an instructor he is, so don't be too disappointed if you get allocated another instructor, as according to Paul they are all fantastic. Undoubtedly, any instructor that meets Paul's very high standards will certainly meet yours.
On a personal note, Paul if I haven't said it enough, thank-you soooo much!! I have learnt from the best, so I am sure I will continue to impart your wealth of knowledge onto friends and family who were not as fortunate as I to have you as their driving instructor. Naturally, I give you permission to teach my very advanced "pasta-making" steering technique to any future students!!

i have been a student of strive to drive for the past 11 months, joe has been my instructor, i strongly recommend him, as he has given me the knowledge and skill to not only pass my P's test but to feel confident on the road. He's teaching theories are well fitted to the individual making each lesson enjoyable and progressive. Joe's calm easy going personality has allowed me to feel relaxed and safe at all times. with my restricted timetable i have from work, joe has been able to work around it and fit in lessons that suit me allowing me to complete my 120 hours..

My name is Danielle. I have had my learners permit for a few years but haven't had the skills or confidence to go for my p plates. I have recently had driving lessons with Joe, he is an excellent instructor. Over the last couple of months he has taught me the skills needed to drive safely, also building my confidence at the same time as he is a relaxed and friendly person, which then allowed me to relax and feel comfortable to ask questions etc to ensure I learnt all I could. I just wanted to email you guys to let you know what a great job Joe Palumbo has done and how much he has helped me. He is friendly, knowledgable and an excellent instructor. I know i wouldn't have been able to go for my p's without him, but with his help I passed first go!

'd just like to recommend Sylvio Micallef to any beginner drivers out there. He really helped me over the line for my license, and put up with my giggling fit after I passed! And he gave me a lift home from Vicroads also. Nice work Sylvio. I wont forget the effort you made!

Strive 2 drive is a excellent driving school. They organised lessons around my work schedule and made me feel very comfortable and confident in my ability to drive. Paul my instructor not only thought me the skills needed for the driving test but he also taught me how to drive in the real world. He took me out on the freeway, driving in the city and the suburbs to make sure I had every experience possible for when I would be out there on my own. He gave me the confidence and the little push I needed to book my driving test. Paul was right, I passed first time and now how my P's. Thanks Paul and strive 2 drive.

I know at times being in the car with me must have been scary, if not dangerous but you hung in there, were really great at supporting and teaching me how not to crash. I just wanted to thank you for your help over the past few months. Before I started my lessons with you, I had an instructor who was hurried, unpunctual and too busy taking calls during lessons to focus on me! As a result, a lot of bad or nervous driving habits went unnoticed. But I was very impressed with the service from day one with Strive2Drive; from the prompt response to my initial enquiry to the excellent skills-focused driving lessons. During every lesson we not only focused on the skills needed to pass the driving test, but also other everyday skills required to be a safe driver. For example, I appreciated your taking me on the freeway as I was nervous about driving at high speeds. However, with family in country Victoria I knew this was something I would have to do often! Thanks to your relaxed, but persistent instruction I am now a much more confident driver and finally have my P's! A huge thanks for enabling me to pass my license test! The greatest part was, even after I'd passed you gave me advice on continuing to drive safely and respecting my new found freedom! My first driving experience was with a different school and I can't compare my two experiences, Strive2Drive was by far a better school, not just teaching me to pass the test but for driving safely in the future. I would recommend this school to anyone learning to drive, my instructor had highly advanced knowledge of the road rules and the difference of the rules in different suburbs.

I had little confidence in myself as a driver but right after my first lesson with you all that nervousness and anxiety began to fade away. From my very first driving lesson with you I felt like you had a solution to every challenge a learner driver can possibly face. Your teaching skills put me at ease and I began looking forward to each lesson!
You were so patient with me when I made mistakes and even encouraged me when I felt like giving up thinking I would never get it. It almost felt like you could read what was going in my mind regarding different driving situations right from basic driving scenarios to complex maneuvers. You helped me break difficult and comprehensive driving tasks into memorable systems, that were amazingly easy to follow and hard to get wrong. You were extensively thorough with your teaching methods and taught me at just the right pace and never rushed too far ahead to simply get me through the drive test. You’ve always been flexible to accommodate my driving lessons with my work and other commitments. I found my experience with Strive2Drive to be of great value and well worth my while. The lessons were not only competitively priced but the cheapest I found. They were also helpful in catering to my needs, allowing me to fit lessons in around work. My driving instructor Paul was incredibly friendly, helpful, patient, and most of all, a great teacher. Without the help of Paul and Strive2Drive, I would not be driving now! There is so much to learn and many rules but Strive2Drive know them all and manage to keep up to date. I cannot recommend Strive2Drive highly enough. Thankyou again!

Strive2Drive have been great. Found them after searching for the driving schools in my area. Was extremely impressed by the website design and layout, which had a professional look to it compared to most other schools. Made a booking online for the 5x45min lesson package and on the same evening promptly got a call from my driving instructor - Sandro, to fix up an appointment for my 1st class.He was always on time and knew the testing routes used by the Carlton Vic Roads center. Which made me familiar and better prepared on the day of my test.Sandro was extremely patient and always provided feedback at the end of the class on what I would need to improve on.During the class we chatted about general matters and it made it a lot more personable instead of giving you the feeling that he is just there to make money. The car was well maintained and always clean.Would highly recommend Strive2Drive especially with their 1st test pass guarantee option, extremely reasonable and competitive pricing options.

Hi my name is Mahmoud Charkas and I have undertaken lessons with Sandro and done my Probationary P1 Licence test recently. I have passed the test and I am currently on my P1 Licence.

I highly recommend this driving school, as the driving lessons were very helpful and the experience was also fun. Sandro was very helpful through my learning period and very friendly. It was definitely excellent service and the prices were awesome for the amount of help that I have received. Sandro helped me pass the Probationary P1 test and at the same time taught me how to drive safely and carefully on the road. It is definitely worth going with this driving school and it makes the test very easy for you. I also got a lot of advice in tips when I would have my driving lessons. I found Strive2Drive on the internet and sent an email regarding the lessons and was impressed by the immediate and prompt reply within minutes. The first time I sat with the instructor he was so kind, patient, humble, soft spoken, good listener, honest, caring, there are actually no words that would really describe the instructor.

I knew to drive but I was so nervous that after taking the first lesson it was just different. He was patient and slowly and steadily took out my nervous and taught me every bit I should know to become a safe, confident and a competent driver in a very professional manner. It was not never that the instructor would wind up the lessons at the exact time it was always 10 minutes more than the usual time. After the lesson the instructor would always give some tips and make me feel more relaxed. The instructor main aim was to make me a confident driver, hats off to him for being such a patient and kind instructor. I highly recommend strive2drive to all who want to become a safe, competent and confident driver.

In all my years of learning to drive, I have never met a more patient and determined person with a willingness to help me pass. Paul became not only my driving instructor, but also a friend who I could simply laugh with. Hi Sandro,
I initially learnt to drive with another driving school that just focused on teaching students to pass the test rather than ensuring that the students were able to drive confidently in all traffic conditions. My lessons with strive2drive have been very different, and very helpful in learning how to drive confidently. The instructor is a great teacher and is able to explain things clearly, and not only that, the lessons are also very enjoyable. My driving confidence and skills have greatly increased as a result of my lessons with strive2drive.

Firstly, I want to thank Sylvio Micallef for helping me earn my P's whilst teaching me to be a better driver and fine tuning my skills on the road. I actually had half a year of driving previously but had to stop due to my university work load. Then I continued lessons with another school this year but I had an instructor who was always taking appointment calls and stood me up for lessons three times in a row, but I've also booked a test with him!! That was when I found Strive2Drive and decided to make the switch to allow myself to take my P's without too much stress, I'm grateful to Strive2Drive for allocating me an instructor on such a short notice.
Sylvio was very friendly and understood the level of my driving skills after just one lesson around Carlton, and he taught me to react quicker and smarter on the roads, yet going through all the safety checks that I should be aware as a learner. He was also very supportive with me, building up my confidence on the main thoroughfares and during my driving test held at the Carlton VicRoads. Sylvio is an incredibly awesome teacher and I have recommended my brother to learn from him. I've also recommended my friends to learn from Strive2Drive and they too were satisfied with their lessons.
